Market Day in Cluny France

The female DG was about to complain that life in Southern Burgundy is hard but knew she’d have a hard time getting away with that. So she’s revised her observation and decided that – in addition to being different – it’s slower, or better stated, life happens on its own time. Take the vendor (pictured) at this morning’s market in Cluny. Admittedly the DG’s hit the market at its earliest hour to avoid the hustle and bustle of market day crowds, but this photo was snapped a good hour after the market had opened. Yet Monsieur, who appears to have ridden a horse up the Rhone from the Carmague region, was just setting up shop – and slowly at that. So settling in means casting Silicon Valley time aside…
