Out comes the sun – finally!

Valley below viewed from Ameugny, FranceThere is, of course, nothing more boring than to be in a beautiful place that retains its beauty under a myriad of climate conditions – and complain about the weather. It has nevertheless been unseasonably cool this year in Ameugny – even the locals have commented on it. The first few days were downright frigid and when it warmed up to high 50s/l0w 60s, it seemed like a heat wave. This past week has shown great promise in the morning – blue skies if cool early AM temps. But then the clouds would roll in. Today it got back to “normal” – sunny and warm with a breeze that kept one cool while walking. There was a steady stream of young people from down the road at Taize languishing in the warmth at the adjoining 12th century Roman church. And yes, that’s our humble abode behind them – not to mention our non-stop view…
