First Blush: It’s good to have the students back

Dorms chalk wars on Stanford campus

Running on the Stanford campus during the summer months means a parade of “revenue generators,” as the Dawn Joggers used to call the multitude of people who come to the university in the “off season” to take [expensive] courses and participate in multi-week long programs. The students returned last week and it was evident this morning when the female DJ jogged across the campus. The war of the dorms had begun, displayed with chalk slogans around the main quad. It’s a yearly tradition, but one the female doesn’t think about until she sees it…
